Authentic Hummus Recipe
If you are looking for the real deal, this authentic hummus is. A family recipe, prepared as it should, with tahini, lemon juice and garlic.
Serves: 20
- 1 1/2 (400 g) canned chickpeas, drained with half of the reserved liquid
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- In a blender, add the chickpeas by reserving a small handle for the filling. Put the lemon juice, tahini, chopped garlic and salt in the blender. Mix until creamy and well mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to an average serving bowl. Sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil on top. Garnish with reserved chickpeas.
